Think Before You Say Anything About Politics

Posted by K | Posted in Opinion, Politics | Posted on 02-11-2017

I refrain sharing my political views as much as possible in my social media account as much as possible. Gone were the days were you could freely express your opinion and have a sensible discussion to others who are opposed to your views. These days, that is not the case anymore. If you express dismay over some matter, you will be automatically branded to a certain political color (yes, the red, yellow, orange, white, purple colors that represents political party). Worst, you will be bashed and any information about you will be publicly displayed and even your family or innocent kids will be dragged. By expressing your opinion, you are also feeding yourself to the lions (or dinosaurs?). They will not stop until they get back at you and humiliate you just because you oppose their opinion. That harsh, huh? So, I refrain from commenting or even liking posts (especially in facebook) if it talks about politics.

I know I should also voice out my opinion sometimes to make a stand. But with that comes responsibility. I am not used to be dragged to any controversy just because I clicked the like button. I think not just twice or thrice but as many times as possible before posting or commenting my opinion. Because only a few people these days are cool-headed or open to criticisms. It’s funny even to see good friends now turned enemy number one just because of political disagreements. Sad…right?

So, I chose to be quiet and chose only people to discuss with my opinion. Even with family members, I shun away topics that may cause estrangement just because of political opinion.

That’s how things are these days. Nobody is wrong, Nobody is right especially if my opinion contradict theirs.

But if you really wanted to know my stand or if I have a voice to contribute, I have and I will if need be.

I am a citizen of this country, even a law-abiding citizen. I follow the right rules but I will not tolerate injustice. I respect the leaders of the country but I also voice out my disagreements on their opinions because that is my right. I have my conscience to follow and I take heed to what is right. So there, I have much more to say but I will just limit it. What I’m saying is that we will just have to respect each other because with respect, unity will still be intact. And there will be peace amongst us…

Same Old, Same Old

I dunno how to feel about our current administration right now. It’s even scary if someone would post their disappointment or dismay on their social media coz they will get bashed left and right. Worst, these bashers are so mean coz they get below the belt. They are the loyal supporters of the current admin who never accepts criticisms even if it’s constructive. And even if you are not a supporter of their number 1 nemesis, they are just blind to see that because they chose to believe what they want to believe. It’s just plain annoying!

So, I’ll just post my dismay here on my blog coz I can screen the people who will come here and give comments. I’m just disappointed that the processing of government ID’S or papers (passports, license, plate numbers) are being delayed. I thought it was mentioned by our Chief Commander to hasten it but the result was the exact opposite! I dunno know who’s to blame here coz the staff are pointing one finger to another. One staff reasoned out that they were still processing the delayed license since 2 years ago. Oh. Wow! Another one said, it was because of the newly established system that caused the delay. Oh. Wow. Again!

I’m still crossing my fingers, though, that this will not take FOREVER. Or else, I would say, this is just the same as the old government. Nothing’s new. Nothing’s changed.

Bless the Whole World

I sympathize with my family and friends living in the U. S. of A. who are shocked and devastated with the President Electoral result. I do feel for you and I am with you. Although some rejoiced, a lot were beyond despair for having a new leader who is known being racist, sexist, bigot, yadda-yadda-yadda.

But who knows, he might be an effective leader….

But still, I’m beyond disbelief that the most powerful country has now a leader who is very controversial (not to mention, has a wife who posed for playboy magazine) that obviously divide half the population of America.

So much for my opinion that is not even relevant as I’m not a citizen there and we have problems in our own country. I guess all I have to say is — God bless the whole world!

Politics in the Philippines

Posted by K | Posted in Election, Opinion, Politics | Posted on 02-06-2016

It has been almost a month since we had our Philippine election but it seems that people had not yet moved on. If ever the winner is declared, the losing end will not accept defeat. Instead, they cried recount, claiming that they had been cheated. Yep, that’s the way it is in the Philippines!

And now, the new sets of government administration and the media are in circus. Interviews made were sensationalized, people overacted, the interviewees’ answers were exaggerated and the result was a complete disaster!

Sometimes, I don’t like to hear or read the news because it became so showbizy, and I thought I was trying to get updates on the current news.

Anyhoo, I am just expressing what I’ve observed for the past years that I have exercised my right to vote. And this only not happens on election, it’s almost everyday.

I wish the news that I am going to read in the coming days will have some sense. I hope I can even find a better news site online. However, this is the Philippines. Why should I then be surprise?
